Zen Master Ted is still alive!

Just checking in with a quick Happy New Year to everyone, along with a continuing reminder that Sarah Nash's old Radio Nahmaste has been reimagined and reborn as the weekly Supernatural Passport Bubblecast!

There are a couple of ways you can keep up with Sarah these days:

One is to simply point your browser to Supernatural Passport, which will actually take you to Sarah's Patreon page.

Patreon???

Supernatural Passport is partially a subscription service (because we all have to EAT!), but you can get most of the goods for as little as $1 a month!

In the olden days, spiritual teachers and ministers were supported by their village or parishioners... these days, it seems like spiritual people are forced to be bartenders and grocery checkers first, and spiritual teachers second.

We don't believe that's Right Action; the must be reciprocity at the core of spiritual awareness!

And if you like Facebook — which most of us do — you can follow the Supernatural Passport Facebook page, which will link you with news and updates.

This information is also permanently linked in the right hand column here!

Anyway, thanks for checking in, and we hope to see you for the next Supernatural Passport Bubblecast.

This is Zen Master Ted, over and out for this time!

We Are Happy to Announce: Supernatural Passport!

After a couple of years of hesitation and many changes in our lives, I'm pleased to announce that the old Radio Nahmaste has been re-imagined, re-invented and now re-born as "Supernatural Passport!"

World Class Psychic and Radio Host Sarah Nash has started a new project, which now includes a weekly podcast which we have named the "Bubblecast!"

Things are a little different from the Radio Nahmaste days.

For starters, we are not on a radio station anymore; the weekly Bubblecasts are transmitted as Facebook "live" events through the Supernatural Passport Facebook Page.

For the most part, the Bubblecasts are live, but "archived" versions are also posted, usually within a day of the live version.

What is a little different from the Radio Nahmaste days is that Supernatural Passport now operates via a Patreon creative support subscription.

It's about Reciprocity!

We're not trying to hide behind a paywall, and a lot of the information from Sarah and Supernatural Passport is still accessible for free... but this new format goes a long way to provide information and insights of value to supporters.

For as little as a dollar (although we really hope you'll choose at least the $3 or $8 support levels!) you'll get access to not only the edited and sometimes expanded Bubblecasts, but also Sarah Nash's Bubblecast Blog posts which are filled with cosmic insights, weekly tarot readings and much more!

I suppose that makes us a bit like PBS or NPR, here in the USA... we need your support to keep the lights turned on and quality information flowing!

Anyway, Sarah and I both hope you will join us in this new venture, and become followers and supporters of Supernatural Passport!

"So Long" from Radio Nahmaste!

It is with some sadness that I must report that Radio Nahmaste is once again "homeless."

After we parted ways with OM Times Radio, we temporarily found a home with Body|Mind|Spirit Radio, but after six episodes somewhat plagued by technical issues and listeners finding it difficult to connect with the show, we are now adrift.

As of this writing (Late December 2015), Sarah has decided to shelve Radio Nahmaste indefinitely, or at least until we find a more established and technologically advanced service provider to provide airspace for the show.

To be honest, we'd rather be off the air than bring our listeners a second-rate experience!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has listened in, and we hope to see you again if we find a new home for the show!

Overseas Perspective

It is interesting to pause and consider the differences between how we see ourselves, and how others see us.

The Blue Collar Goddess and I are in Denmark, at the moment.

Much like the US, Denmark is a wealthy country with a high standard of living, a high literacy rate and a high expected lifespan. It's a very civilized place-- something that seems to happen to places that have been "places" for a very long time.

The energy is different here. It's quieter, softer and more... compassionate than we typically experience in the the US. You don't get the sense of the "Stand tall, look 'em in the eye and tell 'em what you know" approach to life and interactions, the way you do in the US. We speak a lot about "freedom" in the US, yet people in Denmark seem much freer than we do, and the pervasive "police presence" seen in the States is absent here.

As I observe these things, it reminds me that things like freedom and consciousness cannot be policed and/or legislated... they simply happen as a result as a natural consequence of the cultural and social environment.

Being Awake: Mindfulness and Consciousness

We talk a lot about this idea of "consciousness."

For centuries, a parade of ostensible "gurus" have talked about the importance of "being awake" and the importance of mindfulness... and the objective of living "consciously."

Dragonfly, Oak Creek, Sedona
For the most part, we have some sort of conceptual idea of what these "feel like," but what are they really, where the rubber meets the road?

One of the (generally unspoken) issues within the Conscious Community is an unfortunate tendency for people to dwell excessively "in the ethers," while broadly ignoring-- or even outright dismissing-- what's happening in regular 3D space.

We can absolutely be completely Zen and At One with the Universe while at a Yoga or Meditation retreat with fellow seekers, while sitting at a remote retreat center somewhere in the mountains.

That perfectly Conscious state is not quite as easy to maintain when the phone is ringing, while our boss is yelling at us, and we have several looming deadlines to meet.

And that's where many teachers in the Conscious Community sometimes (often?) miss the boat. Much as we would like the world to be otherwise, most of us do have to interface with daily reality.

So the challenge lies in making conscious choices while still being in the world.

And that has to start with simply being aware and awake in your own life... rather than just drifting along on cruise control. And that's where we run into one of the first challenges of Consciousness: Being awake is work!

Are YOU awake?

Asleep at the Wheel

We live in a world that encourages us to surf through life on autopilot.

Looking towards the distant horizon...
We have created a system that encourages us to not think for ourselves-- after all there are manuals and guidebooks for everything... so why think for ourselves when someone has already thought for us? Besides, who has the time to think for themselves at the end of a 60-hour work week?

Much is said and written about "Consciousness" and "Waking Up" and "Living in the Present." People talk about the "Ascension" of humanity. But what do these buzzwords really mean? And how do we become more Conscious in our daily lives?

Is is even possible to have a "global definition" for such concepts that-- surely-- are incredibly individual?

From where I am sitting, I say "no." We must each find what we believe Consciousness to be, and then contribute that towards developing a greater and more aware whole.

My Consciousness and your Consciousness may be nothing alike... but I'd expect the underlying intents to be similar: What can we do to leave this world a better place for us having been here?

What does "Consciousness" mean, to you?
